Rumah Rakuji or Rakuji House is a 

Shelter for Indonesian Culture, Art and Craft

FROM INDIGENEOUS TO MARVELLOUS

Our mission is to promote mostly eco-friendly crafts.

  • Creation of Ikat, Sidan, Pileh Wovens and Traditional Plaited Bemban Crafts, made by the Dayak Iban Tribe lives in some villages in the remote Kapuas Hulu Region, West Kalimantan.
  • Traditional Fibers Handwoven “Ulap Doyo” made by the Dayak Benuaq Tribe lives in Batubura and Tanjung Isuy, Kutai Barat Region, East Kalimantan.
  • New feature of Grinsing Double Ikat Woven.
  • New feature of Wovens, Batiks, Other Crafts, made by artisans from regions/district lives in the remote areas.
  • Member of  WCCAPR, WARLAMI, CLIMATE REALITY LEADER

‘RUMAH RAKUJI‘ also hosting Cultural, and Art events such as :

Batik, Woven and Handicraft Exhibitions, Paintings Exhibitions, Traditional Dances Practices, ‘Kecapi Suling’ communities, ‘Kain Indonesia Kain Dunia’ (Indonesia Fabrics, World Fabrics) Communities, and last but not least Craft Workshops such as ceramic pottery and painting classes.
