Four days filled with stories, craftsmanship, and appreciation for the richness of Indonesian heritage crafts have come to an end at Karya Kreatif Indonesia (KKI) 2026.
From 20–23 August 2026, Rumah Rakuji had the opportunity to take part in the exhibition organized by Bank Indonesia at the West Kalimantan Booth, JICC Hall B. We presented a selection of authentic crafts from indigenous communities in the interior of West Kalimantan, particularly the works of the Dayak Iban.
From the beauty of Pileh, Sungkit, Sidan, and Ikat textiles to the distinctive Bemban weaving, Kebon Bronai, and ready-to-wear fashion, each piece reflects a unique character, exceptional craftsmanship, and invaluable cultural significance.
More than simply products, these works create a space where ancestral heritage, contemporary creativity, and innovation come together. Rumah Rakuji’s participation in KKI 2026 is part of our ongoing effort to bring the rich craft traditions of Indonesia’s interior communities to a wider audience, allowing them to be better known, valued, and appreciated.
Our sincere gratitude goes to all the visitors, partners, artisans, and everyone who supported our journey at KKI 2026. We look forward to seeing you again on our next journey! ✨
Let us continue to preserve our textiles, protect our planet, and support Indonesia’s cultural heritage. 🤎🌿
